Pieter

Platoon Leader

Hello I’m Pieter. By the way this is my name in real life as well. I’m 46 years old. I have daughter and 2 stepsons (they’re twins). I also have girl-friend (who most of the time complains that I’m spending way to much time on this game). I’m from the Netherlands and I live in small town in the east of it, nearby the German border.

I’ve joined the Dutch army in 1997 and became a NCO in an armored reconnaissance platoon. In 1999 I went with KFOR1 to Kosovo for a half year. After this mission I’ve left the army and got a job as a tax adviser. This is the work I’m still doing.

In 1995 I’ve started playing Magic the Gathering. I still have a lot of cards which I’m trying to sell. In 2012 I got involved in my first digital collectable card game: Hearts of Iron. Unfortunately, there were a lot of troubles with the server and the game quit. I was really sick of it.

In 2014 I’ve discovered a new CCG which was also based on the events of the second world war. This is when I’ve joined WW2TCG. So, I’m an active player for about 4 years now.
To give you an impression of the collection of cards you can built up in a period of 4 years, I’m at: 35 diamonds, 478 elites, 174 legendaries, 921 epics, 1.635 rares, 1.915 uncommons and 1.375 commons. I’ve made an excel in which I keep track of the cards I own and I’ll try to put it somewhere on the site so you can make use of it as well (if you wish). Frozen Shards caught me by surprise 2 times: First time was when they’ve introduced crafting to the game, second time was when they’ve introduced diamonds to it. So now, I’m maintaining a stock of cards: Germans and British 30 cards of each copy, other factions 20 cards of each copy.

The faction in which I’ve specialized in is Germany. But I guess I have the luxury to be able to specialize in another faction as well. So, now I’m trying to built a British deck as well.

The deck I use for PvP is a German Kriegsmarine deck combined with Luftwaffe. This is what it looks like:

Tirpitz, Gneisenau, Blucher and Naval Development X 2. Everything else just 1 copie.

I hope you've all enjoyed reading this, if you have any questions you know where to find me. Beneath you'll find my email address. Feel free to send me an email.
